100 Word Challenge -Night Zoo

HALLOWEEN !!! On Halloween I was out trick or treating when this creature started jolting towards me. I saw black licorice like fur, pink splintery teeth ,claws as sharp as knives, ears with fangs and bright yellow eyes. As it got closer it started to float then scream and laugh. Suddenly three more clamored towards me. I attempted to run I couldn't because I was glued to a piece of chewing gum. The next minute I was asleep in a cage made of candy canes. I tried to escape I was about to eat it when ... By Grace.

Gemma Finds A Kiwi

So What: the Mawhero reading group have been reading a book called Gemma Finds A Kiwi  we have been using a bloom chart  and went to our desk and started to  do some activites one of the activites was to create a wanted poster  what  a dog needs to be able to sniff around and find the kiwis without biting or eating them .

Now What: my next steps are to write a report about a dog that has found a kiwi and what that dog did to help and find a kiwi.

ANZAC Poppy Poem!

ANZAC Poppy Poem

W.A.L.T Use the books provided to help you
complete an acrostic poem on ANZAC Day.

What did we learn : As a class we did a draft copy in our ANZAC Contracts then got them checked by the Teacher and published them onto a poppy. Then we wrote each letter From ANZAC onto our poppies and then coloured them in and out lined them with vivd .

So What:  I learnt that ANZAC Biscuits used to be called Soldier biscuits .

Now What : My next steps are to learn a bit more about war and why it all happened.

Today I learnt how to set up a blog

Today I learnt how to make a blog it was really fun

Room 11 Learners

One of the learning things for class is our Mihimihi. We can get others to know everyone in our community . We can get really good at Maori and get to knows what they like to do and get to know our mihis off by heart.
