My start of the year goal update

 The goals I set for term two are


*Be a role model
*Do well in all subjects
*Be the best I can be

    

Be a role model : I have been a role model to the younger students by respecting the school grounds, others as well as the schools property and wearing my hat

Do well in all my subjects : I have been doing well in all my subjects because have pasted all my goal and have been completing the national standard 

Be the best I can be : I have been being the best I can by doing my best in netball,maths,reading, writing, tennis and more

Koru Games

Over the last three days the year 7&8's have been busy playing sports at the Koru Games tournament.

* The things that I really enjoyed were playing against other schools netball teams and seeing schools that I never thought existed as well as seeing others that I play against on Saturday. I also liked how my coach helped us with the things we were not so good at.

* When I think back to the beginning of the year, I have really have improved on sticking with my partner and being fast off the line.

Overall I found the Koru Games really fun ,enjoyable and have some really great memories and wish that I could play the Koru Games tournament again next year.

Remember the tough times as a kid, being teased because of your gender,race as well as how rich or poor you are well It's hard being a kid. Because our parents make all of the decisions when half the time the decision our parents make is the opposite of what we really want, we have to do a whole bunch of chores. Although we wouldn't be able to survive without our parents because they bring home all the money,food and clothes. Also while Balancing six hours of school, homework,chores and after school activities.

I have been achieving these goals because I have just passed my maths goal and have gotten good marks on my writing and have been a good role model to the younger students in the school by making sure there are no netballs and basketballs lying around on the courts

The goal I was on was spelling I got to Extended Abstract because I can create something and show others how to do this goal.

I live in a African Palace with my Brother Hansel he is such a lazy person oh I forgot to introduce myself i'm Princess Gretel but i'm not just a Princess i'm an Evil Princess. I work with my evil step mother and together we boss around my Father and my Brother not that they have any idea about our little scheme.

Hansel come here right now I said

What says Hansel

That is no way to speak to a Princess reenter and do it how you are supposed to.

Yes your highness what may I do for you

Go and find me a Prince to marry and take Daddy with you. You have two days to complete this quest if not something unexpected is coming your way.

Ok your highness what do you wish to see in this prince

Well the firstly make sure he looks nothing like you and has the greenest of all eyes and wears clothes that look royal as I said you have two days to complete this quest. So that I can have myself an African Prince

So off set my Father and Hansel on the safari of finding me my dream Prince. So now my mother and I can plot our scheme of making the love antidote so that my Prince with do anything I say any time I want and will want anything that want. As well as this my step Mother can find herself a better King to rule the land with. Enough about that it's time for my mani and pedicure as well as my face mask as I need to look my best for my future husband.

Finally the two days were up and they had found my prince his name is John he has the greenest eyes I've ever seen and luckily looks nothing like Hansel they did well on their little safari. John seemed awfully off about marrying me I mean come on who wouldn't want to marry me. As it turns out mother flushed the love antidote down the toilet and the antidote was

This is my reading prove it my W.A.L.T was to Describe the effect/purpose of literary texts that subvert conventional features. This is my describe map, we had to find colloquial language in the song Roar and write the none slang words meaning then why the artist/author has done this. This Is My Explaination Writing we had to base it on a career that sounds interesting to use I choose a  Zoologist but as I reasearch more about it I realised that it's not the job for me.My goal for writing is to link my paragraphs to  link your paragraphs you need to make sure that you remind the reader of the piece they have read above as well as using a connective e.g Although , after , as well as just to name a few.

My career goal is to be a Zoologist.As a Zoologist you study animals such as that you do lab and field work as well as giving talks to community groups, writing reports and scientific articles as well as studying the relationship between the animals and the environment that they live in.The chances of a job as a Zoologist is average due to the limited opportunities in some areas of employment,but high demand in others .The reason I want to be a Zoologist is that I like working with animals and I want to know more about animals and the environment they live in. I have also grown up with animals around me and I love and care for animals.


As to that these attributes best are describe me the best are quite,sporty,competitive,responsible and observant .Some attributes that will help me be a better Zoologist I can be are being curious, connecting,communicating  respectfully around the animals and others as well as being resilient.

Although these attributes will help me become a Zoologist I may not get a job as a Zoologist there could be a possible chance that there are no job opportunities as a Zoologist when I graduate with a bachelor of science. Luckily there are other job opportunities including Physiologist,Marine Biologist,Micro Biologist,Biochemist and a Agricultural/Horticutural Scientist.

My 2015 Goals Reflection

These are the goals I made for myself at the start of the year. Which I want to achieve by the end of the year if not before.

* Improve in my Maths. I think that I have improved in my maths because I am nearly past my first Maths goal.

* To be a role model. I have been a good role model for others especially the juniors because my friends and I have been helping them and there teachers out.

*To Improve in my Writing. I have just done a Writing test and I think that I have improved.

My Writing

      My Writting is based on the book Wonder which is where the character August has a different face to others and everyone stares at him. We had to write about what he did before he was 10 .

I raced out of bed,it was my 8th birthday I ran to see Mummy and Daddy they suddenly jumped out of know where yelling suprise happy birthday that but a smile on my dial.They said sweetie your birthday is today .Then Via walked in morning August she said Morning Via I replyed what  are we doing for my party I know lets go to Laser strike no Paint balling  That's to dangerous replyed Mum.

It was time for my party I was waiting for the guests to arrive,an hour pasted . Suddenly  Mum walked in Dad And Via trailing behind with there eyes glued to the ground what I said well I'm really sorry Auggie but I didn't hand out the invitations. 

I rushed to my bedroom there are so many things racing around my head at the moment I am so upset  but not just upset I was annoyed,disappointed and angry. Mum came to my door and knocked and said Auggie I'm really sorry I was to upset to open my door.

Dad came in he started to talk you know your mother is really sorry , she didn't mean to forget  I know I said as I sniffled. Dad then picked me up and took me out to the lounge their were balloon,streamers and my favourite was a gigantic cake.

Their was nobody their then out of nowhere Mum and Via appeared then my two friends walked in Mum I said you are a liar but I really love you. Open your presents she said there was around five from mum and dad the cake was from via and my two friends got me a life size super man.

Mum then came in to read me my bed time story once she had finished I said goodnight never do that again she replyed night sweetheart.

Leadership Big Buddy Programe

What is the big buddy programe the big buddy is where the year eights got a new entrance student to look after for three days.

Today Emma,Hayley and I went down to the junior area to play a game we played duck duck goose and at lunch time the juniors went swimming in the pool so Emma,Hayley,Caoimhe and I helped the little kids swim,get in the pool,play and get changed  before and afterwards.

Leadership Peer Mediation

On Thrusday I did Peer Mediation, what is Peer Mediation you may ask well Peer Mediation is where you put your name down as well as getting trained up you will then become a Peer Mediator. While you are on Peer Mediation you will walk around your school (you may have set zones) for example I walk around the field and the year three classroom's. We also need to look to see if any other children have problems or if we see anyone upset then you ask them whats wrong and if they want to sort out the problem or not. But in some cases you will get one person who wants to sort it out but the other person doesn't or someone thinks they are in trouble but there not so they run off. When I did Peer Mediation on thursday there were no problems so we were just walking around making sure there were no problems or anyone upset.
